The prosecutor of the Susurluk case: The tribes members, the
politicians, casino owners, and drug smugglers have established gangs
The Prosecutor of Istanbul State Security Court Aykut Cengiz Engin
requested imprisonment for the Susurluk case suspects from one year to 12
years.
Former Vice President of Private Operation Team, got angry with the
Prosecutors request and demanded secret session.
Former partners of murdered businessman Omer Lutfu Topal, Sami Hostan and
Ali Fevzi Bir, private team police officers Ayhan Carkin, Ercan Ersoy, Oguz
Yorulmaz, Ziya Bandırmalıoglu, Ayhan Akca and the driver of former DYP
Sanliurfa Deputy Sedat Bucak, Abdulgani Kizilkaya participated the 20th
session of the Susurluk case heard in Istanbul No 6 State Security Court
yesterday. Haluk Kirci who was found guilty for the murders of seven ultra
leftist students and Bucak's bodyguards Enver Ulu and Mustafa Altinok were
not present, however.
In a twelfe - page report Prosecutor Engin
has stressed the relations
between the gang and drug smuggling.
"The gang which has serious relations to some tribe members, politicians and
drug smugglers had acted to take the supremacy in drug smuggling and
gambling."
"And it is not ordinary that an armed militant who had been wanted in Turkey
as a genocide suspect, a high rank security official who is responsible to
capture this person and a deputy have been discovered to be in the same
automobile," he added.
